Welcome to TCCBooksNetwork! We’re glad you’re here. Below are answers to some common questions to help you understand how the platform works and how you can be part of the booksharing movement.

TCCBooksNetwork is a community-driven platform that allows people to share, borrow, gift and sell books within their communities. A community is where you reside – Housing society or residential complex, where you go to learn – school or college or university, where you go for work – your office or company or factory and lastly locality where you stay – example is Vasant Vihar in Dehli or Anushakti Nagar in Mumbai.

Our goal is to promote reading as a habit, make books more accessible and reduce environmental impact by reusing books.

Anyone who loves reading or wants to start reading can join—children, parents, students, professionals and seniors. If you have books at home or are looking for books to read, this platform is for you.

Yes. Joining the network and sharing books is free. Any costs involved in selling books or logistics (if applicable) are mutually decided between members.

It’s simple:

  • List the books you are willing to share, lend, gift or sell. You can choose the communities where your book should be listed. Example – you can choose only your school and housing society as the communities where your book would be shown to the users.
  • Browse books shared by others in your community.
  • Connect with the owner and agree on the terms (borrow duration, pickup/drop, etc.).
  • Read, enjoy and return the book responsibly so it can find its next reader.

All kinds of books are welcome, including:

  • Children’s books
  • Fiction and non-fiction
  • Academic and reference books
  • Self-help and professional books
  • Novels, biographies, and more

However, the following must not be listed on the platform:

  • Adult or explicit content books
  • Counterfeit or pirated books
  • Stolen books or books obtained through unlawful means

As long as the book is legal, appropriate, and in readable condition, it deserves a new reader.

We encourage:

  • Daily reading, even 10–15 minutes a day
  • Family reading time like DEAR (Drop Everything And Read)
  • Book sharing among peers, schools and communities
  • Conversations around books to build curiosity and consistency

Yes. In fact, encouraging children to borrow, share and care for books helps build responsibility, confidence and a lifelong love for reading. We recommend parental guidance for younger children.

By reusing and circulating books:

  • Fewer new books need to be printed
  • Paper consumption is reduced
  • Carbon emissions related to production and transport are lowered

Every shared book is a small but meaningful step toward sustainability.

Borrowers are expected to:

  • Handle books with care
  • Return them on time and in good condition
  • Communicate clearly with the owner

Remember: a well-cared-for book can inspire many readers.

Yes. You can choose to sell, gift or lend your books. The platform gives you the flexibility to decide what works best for you.

We rely on trust and mutual respect within the community. Any issues should be openly discussed and resolved between the lender and borrower in a fair manner.

Because:

  • Books gain value when they are read
  • Sharing builds stronger communities
  • You make reading accessible to others

After all, every book has more to give.

You can:

  • Encourage friends and family to join
  • Promote reading habits in your community
  • Organize reading circles or book clubs
  • Share your reading experiences and recommendations

Search works only when the community name exactly matches between users.

For example:

  • If you have updated your profile as “CIA”
  • And another user has mentioned “Colours Innovation Academy”

The search will not pull the books, even though both refer to the same institution.

To ensure better search results:

  • Make sure you and your friends use the same naming convention for your school, office, or community
  • Prefer using a commonly agreed and consistent name

This helps the platform correctly group users and surface shared books within the same community.

Join the platform, list your books and start connecting with fellow readers. Even sharing one book can start a ripple effect.

If you have more questions or suggestions, we’d love to hear from you. Together, let’s build a culture of reading, sharing and caring.
